A 30 minute fun filled introductory ballet class that helps develop flexibility, coordination, balance and grace using techniques from ballet, creative movement, gymnastics and playful educational games.  The purpose of this class is to introduce the child to the joy of movement and dance, while developing the child’s mind, increasing body awareness, and sharpening motor skills.

*Skirts and tutu's are welcome as long as they are attached to leotard.

A jazz + tumble combination class that includes fun introductory jazz technique, including leaps, turns, and traveling basics - focusing on strength and flexibility for our Pre-AcroBatic Arts program.  We will be focusing on somersaults, handstands, cartwheels, round offs, back walkovers, etc. from our AcroBatic Arts syllabus!

*Any color leotard with pink or black convertible / footless tights / leggings. 

*Skirts and tutu's are welcome as long as they are attached to leotard.

BALLET TECHNIQUE ( PRE-POINTE ) 

A classical ballet class, including beginning barre exercises, focusing on proper body alignment and positions, secondary center work and across the floor combinations will be taught.

Monday Jazz + Tap Technique 6:45pm-7:45pm

​

JAZZ + TAP TECHNIQUE 

Plus a secondary-intermediate jazz technique class that will introduce students to leaps, turns, and traveling sequences is taken in conjunction with a secondary-intermediate tap combination and vocabulary class.

A fun introduction to hip hop, break dancing, and popular pop dance basics.

 

( Age appropriate music and dancing are kept in mind. )

An introduction to musical theatre, chorus, and show choir basics!  In this class, students will learn how to count music, warm up their vocal chords,  sing individually and as a class...learn stage directions, how to project their voice on stage, portray a character and memorize lines through fun, interactive, games and make believe!  In addition to learning Broadway tap and jazz basics.  Want to be a Broadway bound triple threat?  This class is the class for you!

A 45 minute fun filled introductory ballet, tap, and tumbling class for ages 4 - 5 that introduces dance techniques from several disciplines including ballet, creative movement,  tap and gymnastics.

WHAT IS ACROBATIC ARTS?

The Acrobatic Arts syllabus is based on true acro, preparing students to perform skills on a hard stage as part of a complete dance routine package, in 5 skill areas: Flexibility, Strength, Limbering, Balancing and Tumbling. ​

The syllabus contains 12 levels with well thought out progressions that take students from the very beginning (skills such as forward roll and 'L' handstand) to advanced levels (skills such as Front and Side Aerials and Multiple Back handsprings).

CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS?

The Acrobatic Arts Teacher Training and Certification program is designed to teach dance educators how to safely and effectively instruct AcroDance in the dance studio.  This program starts at the very beginning, teaching proper technique, safety, and spotting skills for AcroDance. Acrobatic Arts bridges the athleticism of gymnastics and the poise and grace of dance through the reinforcement of ballet, jazz, and lyrical technique.

LEAPS TURNS JAZZ + LYRICAL TECHNIQUE

An intermediate - advanced cross combination jazz and lyrical technique class; focusing on strength, flexibility, leaps and turns. This class also incorporates the emotional story telling through the use of body language taught in lyrical, which is complimented by the use of improvisational exercises from modern and contemporary dance.

*Tan Leather Capezio Turning Pointes or Tan Canvas Capezio Hanami Pirouettes

*Any solid color leotard with pink or black convertible or footless tights.

A 45 minute advanced beginner ballet class that focuses on elementary ballet technique, terminology, across the floor and center combinations. Students will be learning proper ballet vocabulary and positions.

Tuesday Beginner Ballet + Tap 5:30pm-6:30pm ( Grades K-1 )

BEGINNER BALLET + TAP

A 1 hour introductory ballet and tap combination class focusing on elementary technique, terminology, across the floor and center combinations.  Students will take 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap each class.

This class will explore the fundamentals of ballet concentrating on proper body alignment, use of turn-out, increasing strength and flexibility, while learning proper ballet terminology and barre etiquette.  

​

Students are asked not to purchase pointe shoes until the instructor has approved the dancer’s ability to be on pointe…we will be making a class trip to be fitted for pointe shoes for approved dancers.

 

 Prerequisite for Pointe:  2+ Years of Consecutive Ballet Training  (Assessment Required)

*Hair MUST be pulled back into a ballet bun.
